Refund Policy
How the 14-day money-back guarantee works, and how it sits next to your statutory rights.
This page is a draft and needs legal review before launch. It describes how we intend to handle these matters; it does not limit any right you have by law.
1.The short version
If FootballEdge isn’t for you, cancel within 14 days of paying for a new plan and we’ll refund the subscription fee in full — for a monthly plan, a yearly plan or a Lifetime pass. Renewals aren’t covered. It’s one refund per person, ever, and a refund ends your access straight away.
2.What the guarantee covers
The guarantee covers the first payment of a new purchase on FootballEdge: a new Pro or Elite plan, billed monthly or yearly, or a Lifetime pass. We refund the full amount of that payment, including any VAT or sales tax collected with it.
Renewals are never covered. An automatic renewal is not a new purchase, so the guarantee does not apply to renewal payments; you can stop renewals at any time by cancelling (see “Cancelling without a refund”). The prorated charge when you upgrade in the middle of a period — for example from Pro to Elite, or from monthly to yearly — is treated the same way as a renewal and is not covered either.
3.The 14-day window
You have 14 days from the moment your payment goes through — the date and time on your receipt — to ask. That is 14 × 24 hours: a purchase paid at 18:00 on a Monday can be refunded until 18:00 on the Monday two weeks later.
Your Account page shows how many days you have left.
4.How to ask for a refund
The quickest way is the Request a refund button on your Account page. It appears while you are eligible, tells you how many days are left, and asks you to confirm before anything happens.
You can also email us at support@footballedge.io from the address on your account, within the same 14 days. A request emailed inside the window counts as made inside the window, even if we reply after it closes.
5.One refund per person
The guarantee is one refund per person, ever. We decline a request if you have had a refund from FootballEdge before, and we match earlier refunds on three things:
- your FootballEdge account;
- your email address — the one on your account and the one you gave at checkout;
- the payment card you used. Stripe, our payment provider, gives every card a fingerprint that stays the same across accounts, so a new account paying with the same card is recognised.
If any one of them matches, the guarantee doesn’t apply again. A request that was declined — for example because the 14 days had passed — does not count as a refund.
6.What happens when we refund you
A refund cancels your plan immediately. You move to the Free plan straight away — not at the end of the month or year you paid for — and the paid features stop working at once. Your account, favourite teams and settings stay, and you can buy a plan again later, without a second refund.
We refund through Stripe to the card or payment method you paid with. We can’t refund in cash, as credit, or to a different card.
7.Lifetime pass
A Lifetime pass is a one-off payment for lifetime access, and it is covered for 14 days like any other purchase. Refunding it ends your lifetime access.
What happens to the pass depends on the offer. While Lifetime passes are still on sale, the pass goes back into the pool for someone else. If the offer has already closed — sold out, or past its closing date — the pass is retired, because the offer is never reopened. Either way, the pass can’t be given back to you later.
8.When the money arrives
We issue the refund straight away. It usually reaches the original payment method within 5–10 business days; the exact time depends on your bank or card issuer, not on us.
9.Nothing here is about betting
FootballEdge provides football analytics based on mathematical and statistical methods. It is information only: we don’t take bets, hold stakes or pay winnings, and nothing in this policy concerns them. The guarantee refunds what you paid us for the subscription; it is not linked to how any prediction, bet or match turned out, and we don’t refund losses on bets placed anywhere.
10.Your statutory rights (EU and UK)
If you live in the EU or the UK, consumer law can give you 14 days to cancel a digital subscription bought online. Our guarantee lasts the same 14 days and refunds the full amount, so within that period it gives you at least what the law does.
At checkout you ask for access to start immediately. That request does not take away any statutory right: your statutory rights are unaffected by our checkout and by this policy. Nothing in this policy limits a right you have by law that cannot be waived — for example, your rights if the service is faulty or not as described.
11.If you have already used the guarantee
The guarantee is one refund per person. If you have already had that refund, a later purchase is not covered by the guarantee — but any statutory right to cancel still applies wherever the law gives you one.
In that case you can cancel within the statutory period (14 days in the EU and the UK) and we refund what you paid, minus the value of the days you have already used. To do it, email support@footballedge.io from the address on your account within that period.
12.Cancelling without a refund
You can cancel at any time from Manage billing on your Account page. Without a refund, your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve already paid for and then doesn’t renew. Outside the guarantee and any statutory right to cancel, yearly plans are not refunded pro rata.
13.Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the version published when you made a purchase applies to that purchase.
14.Contact
Email support@footballedge.io with any refund question. If you think a refund was declined by mistake, tell us and a person will look at it.
