How can we help?
Answers to the questions people ask most, grouped by topic. Each answer links to the page or policy with the full details.
Account & sign-in
How do I create an account?
Choose Start free at the top of any page and sign up with your email address and a password, or with a social sign-in such as Google. Sign-in is run by our provider, Clerk, so we never see your password. A free account needs no payment card and doesn't expire.
Link to this answerWho can use FootballEdge?
Adults only: you must be 18+, or 21+ where the law where you live sets that age for betting, as most US states do. We ask you to confirm your age before you use your account. Don't use FootballEdge where that is against the law that applies to you.
Link to this answerHow do I change my email address or password?
Your email address, password, connected sign-in accounts and two-step verification are managed in your profile: open your Account page and choose Open profile settings under Profile & security. If you can't sign in, use the password reset on the sign-in page.
Link to this answerWhat do I get with a free account?
Every number on one featured match each matchday — probabilities, expected goals and the live recalculation — plus fixtures, results, standings, line-ups and injuries in every league we cover, the public track record and up to three favourite teams. No card, and it doesn't expire.
Link to this answerCan I share my account?
No. An account is for one person: please don't share your sign-in details or let anyone else use your account. If you think someone else has used it, tell us straight away at support@footballedge.io.
Link to this answerHow do I delete my account?
Use Delete account on your Account page. Deletion takes effect at once: every subscription is cancelled, a Lifetime pass ends, paid access stops and nothing is refunded. It can't be undone. If you are within 14 days of a purchase and want your money back, use the money-back guarantee or the withdrawal function before you delete.
Link to this answerHow do I contact you or make a complaint?
Use our contact form or email support@footballedge.io. A person reads every message. If you make a complaint, we acknowledge it and aim to give you a full answer within 14 days.
Link to this answerPlans & billing
Which plans are there, and what do they cost?
Free, plus three paid plans, each billed monthly or yearly: Pro at 19.99 a month or 199.99 a year opens our numbers on the top European leagues; Elite at 29.99 a month or 299.99 a year covers everything Europe bets on and adds the backtester; Global at 49.99 a month or 499.99 a year covers every competition we cover and adds CSV export. Each plan includes everything in the plan below it. The pricing page shows the exact features and the leagues page every competition in each plan.
Link to this answerWhich currency do I pay in, and is VAT included?
It depends on the country you visit from: pounds (£) in the United Kingdom, US dollars ($) in the United States and euros (€) everywhere else, with the same numbers in each currency. Prices in € and £ include VAT. Prices in $ don't include sales tax; any tax due is shown at checkout before you pay.
Link to this answerIs there a free trial?
No. A free account gets every number on one match each matchday, and the first payment of a new plan comes with a 14-day money-back guarantee.
Link to this answerHow do I pay?
Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. You choose a payment method at checkout; your card details go to Stripe and never reach our servers. The price that applies is always the one shown at checkout before you confirm.
Link to this answerDoes my plan renew automatically?
Yes. Monthly and yearly plans renew at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Your renewal date is on your Account page, and before a yearly plan renews we remind you by email 30 days and 7 days in advance.
Link to this answerWhere do I find my invoices?
We email you a confirmation for every payment, refund and cancellation, with the invoice or credit note attached. Please keep them for your records.
Link to this answerCan I change my plan?
Yes, from your Account page. An upgrade — for example from Pro to Elite, or from monthly to yearly — takes effect at once, and the difference for the rest of the current period is charged straight away. A downgrade takes effect at your next renewal date. The amount is shown before you confirm.
Link to this answerWhat happens if a renewal payment fails?
Your paid features stay on for 24 hours while the payment is retried. After that your account works like a free account until the payment goes through; nothing is charged for the time in between. We email you each time, and you can update your card from your Account page.
Link to this answerWhat is the Lifetime pass?
A single payment for access to Pro or Elite for as long as we run FootballEdge. It is sold only while the offer is open, from a limited pool of passes; when it is open, the pricing page shows how many are left and the closing date. There is no Lifetime pass for Global. The full conditions are in our Terms of Service.
Link to this answerCancellation & refunds
How do I cancel my plan?
At any time, from Manage billing on your Account page, or on our Cancel contract here page, which works without signing in. We confirm the cancellation by email.
Link to this answerWhat happens after I cancel?
Cancelling switches renewal off. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for and then moves to Free. Cancelling on its own doesn't refund the rest of a month or year.
Link to this answerHow does the 14-day money-back guarantee work?
Ask within 14 days of the first payment of a new plan, Global add-on or Lifetime pass, and we refund that payment in full. Renewals and upgrade charges aren't covered, and a refund ends your paid access straight away. It is one refund per person: if you've had one before, under any account, email address or card, it doesn't apply again. Details are in the Refund Policy.
Link to this answerHow do I ask for a refund?
Use Request a refund on your Account page — it appears while you are eligible and asks you to confirm first. You can also email support@footballedge.io from the address on your account within the 14 days. If you think a request was declined by mistake, tell us and a person will review it.
Link to this answerWhat is the right of withdrawal?
As a consumer you can withdraw from a new purchase within 14 days without giving a reason, with Withdraw from contract here. The contract ends at once. If the money-back guarantee still applies to you, you get the full price back; otherwise we refund the price minus the days you used. The Refund Policy explains the calculation.
Link to this answerHow long does a refund take?
We issue it straight away through Stripe, to the card or payment method you paid with. It usually reaches you within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank. We email you a confirmation with the credit note attached.
Link to this answerPicks & track record
How are picks made?
We calculate probabilities for every match with mathematical and statistical methods: team ratings that weigh recent matches more, the strength of each league and expected goals (xG). We make a pick only when our numbers are clear — and, on the match result, only when the bookmakers' odds point the same way. Otherwise the market is marked “No edge — skip this one”. That is why most days have only a few picks.
Link to this answerWhich markets can get a pick?
The match result (home win, draw or away win) and over/under 2.5 goals. We also show the probability that both teams score, but it is never a pick.
Link to this answerWhat does “No edge — skip this one” mean?
Our numbers don't separate the outcomes clearly enough, so we don't make a pick. Skips are not in the track record and never count as a hit or a miss; their probabilities still appear in the calibration chart on the track record.
Link to this answerWhen is a pick fixed, and can it change?
A pick can still change before kick-off, for example when bookmakers' odds arrive. Since 16 October 2026 every batch of picks is sealed minutes before kick-off with independent timestamps, so nobody, including us, can change a pick afterwards without it showing. Anyone can check a seal on the proof page.
Link to this answerHow are picks settled?
At full time, against the score after 90 minutes plus stoppage time. Extra time and penalties don't count: a cup tie that is 1–1 after 90 minutes settles as a draw, even if one team goes through later, and over/under 2.5 counts only the goals scored in those 90 minutes.
Link to this answerWhere can I see every pick, including the misses?
On the public track record: every pick logged before kick-off and settled against the result, hits and misses. Nothing is edited, hidden or removed afterwards. Matches we tested after they were played are labelled Backtest and counted separately, never mixed with live picks.
Link to this answerHow is the free match chosen?
From any league, by how confident our numbers are and how big the fixture is — never by the odds. Each free match is picked two days ahead.
Link to this answerIs this betting advice?
No. Everything on FootballEdge is general information: statistical estimates that can be wrong, and for any single match often will be. Past results don't predict future ones. Whether, where and how much to bet is always your own decision.
Link to this answerNotifications & emails
What notifications do you send?
Notifications follow your favourite teams: kick-off, goals, red cards, full time and, at full time, whether the pick we logged before kick-off was a hit or a miss — on Free you see that a pick was logged, not the pick itself. Account and billing messages come too. They appear in the bell at the top of the page once you are signed in and follow a team. Push notifications are not available yet.
Link to this answerHow do I change my notifications?
On your Account page, open Notifications — or choose Manage notifications in the bell. You choose what you hear about for all your favourite teams at once, or give a team its own settings. Account and billing messages always appear in the bell.
Link to this answerWhat is the daily matchday email?
“Your matchday”: every morning at 08:00 your time, how yesterday's picks settled, hit or miss, and today's games with a pick, with links to the match pages. You can switch it on or off on your Account page.
Link to this answerHow do I stop the matchday email?
Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any matchday email — it works without signing in — or switch it off under Notifications on your Account page. You can switch it back on at any time.
Link to this answerWhich emails will I always get?
Emails about your account and contract: payment confirmations with invoices, refund and cancellation confirmations, renewal reminders, security notices and notices of changes to our terms or prices. They keep coming if you switch the matchday email off.
Link to this answerWhich address do your emails come from?
From alerts@footballedge.io. That address has no inbox, so when you reply, your reply goes to support@footballedge.io.
Link to this answerData & privacy
What data do you collect?
What we need to run your account, take payments, keep proof of the requests you make and keep the service secure: for example your email address, your preferences, your plan and billing records. Analytics and advertising tags run only if you allow them. The Privacy Policy lists everything, why we use it and for how long.
Link to this answerDo you sell my data?
No. We share personal data only with the service providers who help us run FootballEdge, under data processing agreements, and where the law requires it. They are listed in the Privacy Policy.
Link to this answerHow do I change my cookie choices?
Use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. Analytics and marketing cookies load only after you allow them, rejecting them is as easy as accepting, and you can change your choice at any time. Every cookie is listed in our Cookie Policy.
Link to this answerHow do I get a copy of my data, or have it corrected or deleted?
You can change most account data yourself on your Account page. For anything else, email support@footballedge.io — ideally from the address on your account, with “Privacy” in the subject. We reply within one month; for complex requests we may extend this by up to two further months and will tell you why.
Link to this answerWhere is my data stored?
Our database and application servers are in the EU, in Frankfurt, Germany. Some of our providers are based in the United States; those transfers are protected as the law requires. Payment card details are handled only by Stripe.
Link to this answerWhat do you keep after I delete my account?
We delete your profile, preferences and settings. We keep payment and refund records for accounting, with your email address replaced by a one-way hash, and records of refund, withdrawal, cancellation and deletion requests as proof, for the periods in the Privacy Policy.
Link to this answerResponsible gambling
Is FootballEdge a bookmaker?
No. We publish football statistics and probabilities. We don't take bets, hold stakes or pay winnings, and we have no links to or deals with gambling operators — we earn nothing from whether or how much you bet.
Link to this answerCan I rely on a pick?
No pick is certain. A probability is an estimate, not a promise, and football is uncertain. Past results don't predict future ones. Only ever bet money you can afford to lose, and never chase losses.
Link to this answerWhere can I get help with gambling?
Our Responsible gambling page lists free, confidential helplines by country and the national self-exclusion schemes, such as GAMSTOP in the UK. The footer of every page shows the helpline for your country.
Link to this answerCan you close my account to help me stay away from betting?
Yes. You can delete your account at any time on your Account page, or email support@footballedge.io and we will close it for you.
Link to this answerDo you refund betting losses?
No. Our money-back guarantee and the right of withdrawal concern what you paid us for FootballEdge. They have nothing to do with how a prediction, a bet or a match turned out.
